His official takedown record is a perfect 20-0 — he’s scored 20 takedowns and has never been taken down himself, neither in the UFC nor earlier in his career.
Even elite grapplers have come close but failed. Ikram Aliskerov attempted a slick outside trip, but Chimaev countered quickly — they both landed in a neutral 50/50 position. Gilbert Burns shot deep and looked sharp, but couldn’t complete the takedown.
