Topuria Brothers
The UFC has seen numerous siblings compete on its roster simultaneously, with the latest addition being the Topuria brothers. This set of brothers brings the total tally for siblings in the UFC up to nearly fourty. As of August 2024, Aleksandre “El Cazador” Topuria signed with the promotion, joining his brother & reigning champion Ilia Topuria. Aleksandre, the older sibling, is set to make his UFC debut in March 2025 at UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia.
Over the years, the UFC has rostered and promoted several dynamic sibling duos who have left a lasting impact on the sport. Among the most notable are Kamaru and Mohammad Usman, Gilbert and Herbert Burns, Nick and Nate Diaz, Antonina and Valentina Shevchenko, & Sergio and Anthony Pettis.
These siblings have brought unique skill sets and wild storylines to the octagon, cementing themselves in UFC history. Whether competing side by side or in separate divisions, these family duos have captivated fans with their talent, dedication, and memorable performances. Siblings in sports, especially mixed-martial-arts, are special to watch.
Aleksandre’s Debut
Aleksandre Topuria is known for his aggressive fighting style and well-rounded skill set, which have made him a tricky competitor in the cage. A dangerous striker, he combines precision with power, often overwhelming opponents with his relentless pace and pressure. Aleksandre also boasts a strong grappling background, utilizing his wrestling and submission skills to dominate on the ground when needed.
His ability to quickly transition between striking and grappling has been a key factor in his success which has earned him a reputation as a versatile and unpredictable fighter. These attributes have paved the way for his rise to the UFC, where he looks to makes statement in his debut at UFC 312 in March 2025. Aleksandre has accumulated all five wins by finishing his opponents.
For Topuria’s UFC debut at UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia, pits him against rising Australian prospect Cody Haddon in what promises to be an action-packed bantamweight bout. With a reputation built on finishing fights, Topuria will look to impose his aggressive style and showcase the skills that earned him a spot in the UFC.
Meanwhile, Cody Haddon, a local favorite, brings his own versatile skill set and a hunger to shine on home soil. Known for his speed, crisp striking, and well-rounded game, Haddon will look to neutralize Topuria’s forward pressure and take advantage of the home-crowd energy. The matchup presents a fascinating clash of styles, as Topuria’s raw aggression meets Haddon’s technical precision and adaptability. With both fighters eager to prove themselves in the UFC, this bout could be a show-stealer at UFC 312.
