Gilbert Burns fight week is in the books and he returns to join Matty Betss on Show Me The Money’s 52nd episode! Renato Moicano is tied up this week preparing for his next fight in his brand new gym, leaving Matty & Burns to fend for themselves. Despite the fight not going Burns way, he is in high spirits and adds some very valuable hindsight into his fight.
Fans had to suffer without a UFC card last week but luckily the short draught is over! UFC Vegas 107 is only a few days away as Maycee Barber gears up to take on top-contender Erin Blanchfield.

🔸 Gilbert Burns Loss
Michael Morales defeated Gilbert Burns at UFC Vegas 106 via 1st round TKO. Matty & the Home of Fight crew were in the house to support Burns, but sadly to no avail.
Burns went out with his heart on his shield, swinging until the ref stopped the fight. Despite the loss, Burns’ heart was on display. Morales is a dangerous up & comer, and many fans want to see Burns get a more even match-up moving forward, particularly against a veteran like Colby Covington.
No matter win or lose, Burns remains a fan favorite for good reason. Genuinely a great person inside and outside of the Octagon, Burns career is far from over.
Moicano vs Dariush | HOF
🔸 Moicano Next Fight
Renato Moicano and Beneil Dariush is set for UFC 317 on June 28, 2025, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, marking a rebooking after their UFC 311 bout was canceled when Moicano stepped in for a title shot against Islam Makhachev.
Moicano’s confidence is sky-high, vowing to dominate the “old man” despite being slightly older, while Dariush, feeling overlooked, sees this as a pivotal fight that could influence his retirement plans. Both fighters are at a crossroads, with Moicano eyeing another title run and Dariush fighting to reclaim his spot among the elite.

🔸 UFC Oddsmakers Critique
Burns playfully questions the identity of oddsmakers, exclaiming, “Who’s these guys, bro? Who’s these guys? These guys are the shadows behind the counters.” The hosts crack up over the idea of faceless oddsmakers making mistakes.
Both Matty & Burns didn’t agree with the insane underdog odds Burns had last fight, reaching as high as +500 on some sportsbooks. Despite the loss, Burns’ experience alone should prevent him from ever being a 5-1 underdog in any fight. Just goes to show the true character of Burns as he is able to laugh about the mishap in hindsight.
