News of the Week

🔸 Cody Brundage

Not able to find his footing in the UFC thus far, Cody Brundage finally had his coming out party with a huge 1st round TKO over Julian Marquez. Having trained together before, Brundage shows nothing but the upmost respect towards his opponent.

A new confidence seems to have been found by Brundage and will likely be on display in his future UFC fights. He said lots of his motivation comes from his daughter and family, who he will never stop fighting for.

🔸 Moicano Call-Out

After a very controversial decision victory at UFC Vegas 103, Nasrat Haqparast has made an enemy out of Renato Moicano. Moicano said he would be able to fight Haqparast at any time, but would prefer it be in Miami at UFC 314 next month.

This is an interesting call-out for Moicano, looking way down the rankings after losing his first ever title fight. Despite the discrepancy in rankings, fans would undoubtedly love this fight and Moicano loves to put “boring” fighters to work!

🔸 Moicano vs USADA

For a second week in a row, Renato Moicano was late to the show. This time, according to Money himself, USADA is to blame.

Moicano elaborates by saying, “I stay hungry, bro… two hours, three hours for me to take a piss again.”

After a fight, a fighter is subject to a more than usual amount of testing from UFC’s anti-doping agency. Only about month removed from his latest UFC fight, Moicano has apparently been getting hit with plenty of tests.

Quote of the Show

🔸 “I stay hungry, bro. I stay hungry, bro.”
