News of the Week
🔸 GFL Promotion
The highly anticipated Global Fight League kicked off their inaugural campaign with very mixed reviews. After signing some of the biggest names in MMA, the GFL announced they would hold a draft to create teams for their fighter roster.
The draft opened with an AI generated hype video featuring an AI generated song. Plenty of memes were born and first impressions of GFL were quite comedic.
Aside from the hilarious AI promotional video (which played 6 times during the draft) the draft was also ruined from the start as the GFL accidentally displayed a graphic showing the completed draft rosters. Some fans were hopeful the graphic was a mistake, but the draft results were almost identical to the leaked graphic.
Will the GFL ever have a show? The hosts aren’t so sure, especially since some of the drafted fighters have claimed having no knowledge of their involvement with the promotion.

🔸 BKFC & PFL
Although there was no UFC on last weekend, PFL & BKFC left fans with plenty to watch. Paul Hughes & Usman Nurmagomedov had an unforgettable fight that will likely lead to a rematch. Meanwhile, Eddie Alvarez & Jeremy Stephens put on a show at the first ever BKFC event in Philly.
Burns & Moicano contemplate the thought of them someday competing in BKFC. They also discuss Conor McGregor’s involvement and the likelihood of him ever fighting again.

🔸 UFC 314
As UFC 314 in Miami nears, Burns prepares for his fights against Michael Morales. No main event has been announced yet, but the boys discuss rumored fights for the card including a rematch between Alexander Volkanovski & Ilia Topuria.
Moicano expresses potential interests in being on the card too. Close to the Home of Fight HQ, Miami would be a perfect card for Moicano & Burns to share.

🔸 Moicano’s Casino Adventure
Moicano admits to spending his Sunday gambling in a casino on NFL playoff games, much to MattyBetss delight. It’s no secret Moicano likes his money, but he especially DOES NOT like losing money. Gambling might not be the game for him, although avoiding it on Home of Fight is next to impossible.
