Home of Fight Expert Picks: UFC Vegas 108
UFC Vegas 108, set for Saturday, August 2 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, delivers a compelling night of action despite late card shakeups. The flyweight main event sees Japan’s Tatsuro Taira squaring off against undefeated Korean prospect Hyun Sung Park, who steps in on short notice after Amir Albazi’s withdrawal. Taira is coming off a razor-close loss to Brandon Royval but remains one of the division’s top grapplers, boasting a relentless takedown game and elite cardio. Park, a finisher with nine stoppages in 10 fights, faces by far his toughest test, a full five-round war against a technical and durable opponent who’s gone the distance with the best.
The co-main event features a pivotal lightweight showdown between Poland’s Mateusz Rebecki and Scotland’s Chris Duncan, both known for their grappling but with Rebecki entering as a clear favorite after a Fight of the Night win in his last outing. Other main card highlights include a classic clash of striking styles in Karol Rosa vs. Muay Thai specialist Nora Cornolle, and veteran Neil Magny looking to keep crafty Brazilian Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos at bay in a tactical welterweight duel.
With a great fight card on tap, money can be made at the sportsbook this Saturday night. Home of Fight is here to help put money in your pockets and cash out at the window this Saturday night. Let’s take a look at the Home of Fight expert picks for UFC Vegas 108.
Tatsuro Taira vs. HyunSung Park
- HayJive – Tatsuro Taira
“Park is a great prospect but I think this is too much too soon for him. Taira’s experience and overall skillset should prevail.”
- Nolan (TheParlay) – Tatsuro Taira
“I think the level of competition is going to evident here. Taira’s striking mixed with his grappling and cardio should be enough to beat Park.”
- JJ (TheOctagonKings) – Tatsuro Taira
“I believe the high level experience of Taira will help him find the openings in the later rounds of the fight. Despite Park being very talented, Taira has had more rounds inside the UFC against far better names.”
- Corrie – Tatsuro Taira
“I totally get the Park dog shot here but I’ll lean Taira to win… This being a step up for park competition wise, filling in on short notice when he was training for Erceg, and knowing it’s going to be a very competitive and technical fight, I’ll go with the guy fighting some higher up guys which a little more experience but I would not be surprised if Park finds the upset.”
- The Fight Analyst – HyunSung Park
“I might be the only Park believer in this spot. He’s got good size for the division, good grappling, and power in strikes, making him a very well-rounded prospect. This fight is certainly going to come down, whether or not Park can fend off the takedowns of Taira, and if he’s able to do so, I fully expect him to get the better of the exchanges on the feet. At good dog odds, I’ll take a shot on Park making the most of the biggest opportunity of his life and take out Taira, putting his name in the mix for a potential title shot with 1-2 more wins.”

Chris Duncan vs. Mateusz Rebecki
- HayJive – Mateusz Rebecki
“Duncan can surely pull off another upset but I have to go with Rebecki here as I think he’s the better wrestler, striker, and grappler.”
- Nolan (TheParlay) – Chris Duncan
“Chris has been printing as an underdog and will fight for your money. That’s all I need to know to take the dog shot in this one.”
- JJ (TheOctagonKings) – Chris Duncan
“Chris Duncan gets hit a lot though finds ways to recover. Truly, this is a 50/50 fight, but I can see a scenario where Duncan gets hurt, recovers and finds a way to find Rebecki too, who has been prone for wars as we’ve seen in his last two.”
- Corrie – Mateusz Rebecki
“I think Rebecki’s just slightly the more well-rounded fighter with strong wrestling, and dangerousstriking… Plus he likes to mix things up a bit more. He looked incredible against Oralbai which, obviously, has been a win that’s aged well but if Rebecki slows down, Duncan’s pressure could make things interesting late. Still, I’ll side with the favorite.”
- The Fight Analyst – Mateusz Rebecki
“I’ve certainly cashed on Chris Duncan during his current run as an underdog status, but sometimes it has to come to an end, and it will here. Outside of the Hail Mary Gilly, I believe Mateusz Rebecki has him beat everywhere. The calf kicks will be evident early for Rebecki, and from there he should land his power on the feet, putting Duncan away midway through this fight.”
Esteban Ribovics vs. Elves Brener
- HayJive – Esteban Ribovics
“Brener should look to take this to the ground, but I can’t really trust him to do that. Ribovics has improved his takedown defense and I think he’ll be able to rack up a ton of volume here.”
- Nolan (TheParlay) – Esteban Ribovics
“I love the junkyard dog mentality, mixed with high volume, power, and ability to scramble on the mat. Brenner takes too much damage for my liking.”
- JJ (TheOctagonKings) – Esteban Ribovics
“Brener is quite durable and does know how to eat shots well, despite his recent loss. I do believe the volume of Ribovics will overwhelm Brener a bit, though Brener will recover well enough to make it all three rounds.”
- Corrie – Esteban Ribovics
“Ribovics volume, power, and incentive not to let it go to the judges after that split decision loss to Nasrat this past spring make me side with him. I don’t view him and Brener on the same level and I think that although Brener’s gritty – he’s hittable, and I can easily see Ribovics outpointing him to a decision or finding the finish but I can’t see a path to victory for Brener.”
- The Fight Analyst – Esteban Ribovics
“I am not quite sure Elves Brener can compete with Esteban Ribovics on the feet and melt him like he’s done to others in the past. That would mean he needs to outgrapple Ribovics to get the job done, and while Ribovics’ takedown defense has been his biggest weakness, he has progressed in recent fights. Ribovics should fend off the takedown and take it to Brener on the feet, putting him away and extending his winning streak.”
Karol Rosa vs. Nora Cornolle
- HayJive – Nora Cornolle
“Rosa tends to fight on slim margins and Cornolle is almost the opposite. Cornolle is aggressive and physical, and I think that’s could be just enough to get her the W.”
- Nolan (TheParlay) – Nora Cornolle
“Nora has a history of winning as the underdog. Karol Rosa has lost fights she shouldn’t have. If this plays out on the feet I think Cornolle can rack up more damage.”
- JJ (TheOctagonKings) – Nora Cornolle
“Rosa is durable, though hitable and Cornolle is aggressive. Not overthinking this one, Cornolle will do more damage over three rounds, with some moments of pressure from Rosa in R3.”
- Corrie – Karol Rosa
“Karol’s volume is insane, those numbers are NOT common and I think that kind of volume is gonna be tough for Cornolle, not only to defend, but also to match no matter how physical she is. Rosa’s been in there with way tougher girls, and with her girl Dee Gomes on a hot streak, I think that mutual momentum carries her to a bounce-back win.”
- The Fight Analyst – Karol Rosa
“Not quite sure why this fight is on the main card, but it’s 2025, so here we are. Trusting Karol Rosa as a favorite is not for the faint of heart; however, if she has legit fight IQ for once, this is a fight where she should dominate with her pressure and volume and get the nod on the judge’s scorecards.”
Neil Magny vs. Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos
- HayJive – Neil Magny
“Magny is finally getting an opponent that is his age, and I think he can use his style to smother Zaleski and not allow him to get in to a flow.”
- Nolan (TheParlay) – Elizeu Zaleski
“EZ Dos has the danger factor in this fight. Magny has looked less durable, and outside volume I’m not sure where he succeeds in this fight.”
- JJ (TheOctagonKings) – Elizeu Zaleski
“I do believe Zaleski to be more well rounded and won’t be content with being controlled against the fence by Neil Magny. Zaleski does more damage and can reverse less favorable positions here.”
- Corrie – Neil Magny
“Neil Magny as the dog!!!! His cardio isn’t gone yet and he’s been talking about having hit a mental reset before this, and man, I believe him. I think between that, and the step down in competition will tee him back up to get into the W column because, I mean who has he been losing to?! Carlos Prates, Michale Morales, Ian Garry?! Nobody can fault him for any of those and I think that he comes out on top here.”
- The Fight Analyst – Neil Magny
“I certainly am not expecting prime Neil Magny here, but the gatekeeper I am expecting. He has only lost to the elite or the next big things in the welterweight division. Now, he’s taking on an aging veteran, who’s still got some gas left in the tank, but has shown signs of wear and tear. If Magny can still take damage, his grappling and cage work should be enough to wear out Elizeu Zaleski and get back into the win column.”
Danny Silva vs. Kevin Vallejos
- HayJive – Kevin Vallejos
“I love Vallejos game, and think he is in for a tough fight with Silva. However, I do believe Silva’s flaw of absorbing damage could come back to bite him here, and I see Vallejos finding a KO.
- Nolan (TheParlay) – Kevin Vallejos
“I believe this kid is special. The power and striking accuracy is great, while Danny Silva is one of the more hittable fighters in the division.”
- JJ (TheOctagonKings) – Kevin Vallejos
“Won’t overthink this one. The momentum is on Vallejos to make a statement and Silva is an aggressive fighter though we have seen him in close fights. I do believe Vallejos does enough to get him out of there.”
- Corrie – Kevin Vallejos
“Anyone that can survive 3 rounds with Jean Silva is someone I’ll side with. Literally no one else in the UFC has done, and that tells me everything I need to know. He’s 23, explosive, and already smashing dudes in round one. Now Danny Silva’s solid but hittable, and Vallejos has that type of power that doesn’t need a second chance and if you add in that Danny’s been through some weight cut issues and went to two split decisions recently, while Vallejos has been clean, composed, and violent, it just feels like Vallejos levels up here with another knockout.”
- The Fight Analyst – Kevin Vallejos
“With the rumblings of Danny Silva having trouble making the weight, this fight does not bode well for him. The body shots of Kevin Vallejos are going to zap the cardio of Silva early, which will lead to a devastating hook that ends Silva’s existence, sending him to the shadow realm as Vallejos continues his rise up the featherweight division.”
