🔸 UFC Des Moines Recap

The crew recaps last week’s UFC Iowa card, particularly Bo Nickal’s surprising loss to Reinier de Ridder, attributing it to de Ridder’s aggressive clinch work and experience. They argue Nickal needs more gym wars to gain seasoning, rejecting calls for him to drop to 170 pounds.

They also talk about Cory Sandhagen’s dominance over Deiveson Figueiredo and what the future has in store for Figgy.

Show Me The Funny

🔸 Gilbert Burns Street Fight

Burns recounts a crazy 2010 carnival incident in Brazil where he was stabbed in the back during a street brawl. Initially hesitant to go out, he was drawn into a chaotic fight involving bottles and punches, knocking out an opponent with his first-ever street punch.

The hosts marvel at the scar and Burns’ story, turning a dark memory into a funny podcast moment.

“I knocked the guy out…” explains Burns. “It was like that, you know, when the guys punch me, that was not first boom. And then we started fighting, and then the fight got crazy… I’m pretty sure I got stabbed by one of those bottles.”
