FBI “Dead Serious” About UFC Partnership
FBI Director Kash Patel attended UFC 313 on Saturday at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, signaling a potential collaboration between the bureau and the UFC. Patel has proposed integrating mixed martial arts (MMA) training into FBI agent programs to enhance self-defense skills and overall physical conditioning.
During the event, Patel was photographed alongside UFC President Dana White, MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz, and former U.S. Ambassador Richard Grenell. His presence sparked mixed reactions within the MMA community, with some fans speculating that the FBI’s involvement could bring more oversight to certain controversial figures in the sport.

White later revealed that he had first discussed the idea with Patel several months ago but didn’t expect it to go public so soon.
“After (that came out), my phone blew up because all these fighters want to be the trainers for the FBI guys now,” White laughed. “I’ve got everybody hitting me up.”
Patel is also a longtime friend of Ali Abdelaziz, a prominent MMA manager whose client, Justin Gaethje, secured a victory over Rafael Fiziev in the co-main event of UFC 313.
While details of the partnership are still being worked out, Patel’s attendance at UFC 313 underscores the FBI’s interest in incorporating MMA into its training programs—part of a broader trend among law enforcement agencies looking to enhance operational effectiveness through martial arts.
